The Coal Authority has an exciting opportunity for a Project Support Officer to join the team based in Nottinghamshire. You will be on a full time permanent contract, with a highly competitive salary of Circa £20,000 dependent on experience.
Are you proactive and organised with a passion for projects? If so, this could be just the role you're looking for. As our Project Support Officer, you'll be using your skills and expertise to support the delivery of successful projects.
Working within a small existing PMO and Business Planning team, the role involves the support of a diverse portfolio of projects, including the monitoring and analysis of performance information, administration of the project management tool and project delivery support.

Supporting project, programme and portfolio management processes and delivery, including analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities as our Project Support Officer
- participating in, and contributing to, the development of effective and professional Portfolio, Programme and Project Management for “increasingly successful projects”
- an administrator of the project management tool, Project Web App (PWA)
- providing reporting and analysis to Heads of Departments, Project and Programme managers and other key internal stakeholders
- supporting project and programme managers with project delivery, as required
Our ideal Project Support Officer
- strong MS Office and analysis skills, particularly Excel and MS Project
- good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support key stakeholders at all levels
- excellent administrative and organisational skills with good attention to detail
- the ability to manage varied tasks and be flexible whilst prioritising workloads
- an interest in and understanding of project, programme and portfolio management
