HR Services Team Manager



Job Introduction

Being Trinity Mirror's HR Services Team Manager is a key role within our HR function. Reporting to the Head of HR Services & Reward you will have ownership for the day to day operations management of the Employee Services and Central Support teams. You will ensure a high performing culture is embedded, with a focus on team management and delivery against Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to drive performance and service for internal and external customers of the group.




Role Responsibility

In order to succeed in this role you will:

  • Implement and drive process improvements across teams, working collaboratively with the wider HR function and the business to ensure standardisation and process efficiencies are delivered
  • Manage the service delivery and process of high volume enquiries and transactional data processing
  • Ensure legal compliance for new starters and TUPE transfers
  • Manage the audit review process on a monthly basis as well as with internal controls
  • Coach and develop team members
  • Engage and motivate the team to deliver the highest levels of performance delivery
  • Produce timely and effective Management Information.
  • Oversee induction and ongoing training within the team
  • Support the team during increased activity
  • Support the Head of HR Services & Reward with project activity as required e.g. acquisition integration; SLA feedback support with 3rd party providers
  • Develop consistent analysis, process improvement and new ways of streamlining the service



The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for a passionate and driven HR professional who has previous experience of running an HR team within a Shared Service / HR Services environment. You'll be able to rapidly build strong working relationships at all levels and able to develop and coach a high performing team. Ideally, you will have experience of Generalist HR work in addition to HR Analytics and data management and demonstrate a pragmatic approach to solving problems.




Package Description

Trinity Mirror plc has a strong benefits package which includes, for this role, a base salary of £35,000 - £42,000 per annum (depending on experience), 33 days holidays including Bank holidays, a competitive pension along with an extensive flexibile benefits portfolio.
