We are looking for a Job Coach to join our team based in Trafford, Manchester

United Response is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Who we are looking for

As a job coach you will be required to support people with learning disabilities, autism/aspergers and mental health needs into paid employment, ensure people we support are adequately skilled and informed to carry out their roles.  Be flexible and creative in supporting individuals to access open employment, identify and overcome barriers to employment that the people we support face. Ensure productive relations with all parties including employers, colleagues, parents and carers, and professionals.  Monitor performance of individuals to ensure progression, build appropriate and empowering relations with individuals, ensure an inclusive approach to all aspects of the role. You will also have excellent communication skills, computer literacy, good self management skills and a flexible approach. You will also have the ability to market individuals or services, have an understanding of the supported employment process and basic knowledge of social enterprises.

We are looking to recruit a Job Coach at Trafford supported employment service which supports individuals into employment across several locations. As a job coach you will be required to support people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs into paid employment and/or voluntary positions and work experience. 

You will be flexible and creative in supporting individuals to access employment and be able to identify and overcome barriers to employment that the people we support face.

What we need from you

To be a great Job Coach, you don’t necessarily need to come from a social care background but if you have a keen interest in making a difference and engaging with people and you are patient, empathetic and a good communicator then we would like to hear from you. You will also need good IT and self-management skills and a flexible approach. You will also have the ability to market individuals or services, have an understanding of the supported employment process and basic knowledge of social enterprises.
