Position Summary:
To lead engineering activities with regards to automation, control and electrical systems across site:
- Support Production in the resolution of daily production issues, and if necessary lead Root Cause Analysis projects.
- Develop engineering solutions that drive improvements in OEE.
- If these engineering solutions require projects - deliver projects to the scope, to the timings defined and base-lined in the overall project programme, within the costs defined by each project or element, to the quality defined within each project scope. Report on a weekly and monthly basis at the appropriate forum using the appropriate template
To provide training, technical support & direction of technical staff throughout the business with regards to current and new automation, control and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Production support in the resolution of daily issues, and if necessary lead Root Cause Analysis projects
- Ongoing analysis of automation, control and electrical systems, and in particular OEE
- Development of engineering solutions that drive OEE improvements
- Development of engineering solutions into relevant projects. Delivery of all projects to scope, time and budget. To include:
- Development of scope
- Delivery of capital request and approval
- Development time lines and plans
- Development all relevant validation documentation
- Management all suppliers and contractors
- Performing FAT & SAT as required
- Delivery a validated system
- Complying with the site project management processes
- Ensuring appropriate communication is delivered in a timely manner
- Provision of training to all technical staff on all automation, control and electrical systems.
- Provision of technical support & direction to technical staff throughout the business with regards to current and new automation, control and electrical systems
- To ensure that all activities meet health & safety requirements
- Be the Mentor for assigned Apprentice(s):
- Develop and manage a programme that:
- Supports the Apprenticeship Qualification
- Provide the Technical resource stream
- Be a role model to the mentee
- Act as a sounding board for the mentees ideas and fears
- Develop and manage a programme that:

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Degree or HND educated
- 5-10 years industrial experience ideally in the plastics industry
- Capital projects experience
