Credit controller role within a specialised pest control company based in Kings Norton.

The position is based on 5 hrs per day with flexible start and finish times, 4 or 5 days per week, the position is temporary with high potential of becoming permanent.

Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

The right candidate for this role will be able to hit the ground running.  They will have at least one year’s credit control experience and a strong admin back ground.

  • Ability to organise own workload whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and meeting set deadlines.
  • Be competent using Sage Line 50.
  • Must be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • A professional approach when dealing with customers.
  • Be proactive.
  • Have a positive work ethic and ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to shut off from office distractions.

Credit Controller - Main Duties:

  • Chases arrears on a daily basis by phone or email.
  • Maintain records, send out copy invoices, statements and reconciling.
  • Control and analyse aged debts.
  • Liaise with Technicians, other members of the team.
  • Keep General Manager/Head of Finance informed on any bad debt situations and agree escalation steps regarding recovery.
  • Keep full history log of activity on Sage.
  • Use appropriate internal forms to control the professionalism of debt collecting.
