Great opportunity for an Apprentice/Commis Chef to train and develop skills and knowledge of the industry and learn how to perform in a high standard kitchen.
This is a great platform for any new budding chef to join our enthusiastic, friendly team.
You will be working as part of the kitchen team under the direction of the Head Chef to support the demands of the kitchen, with duties including;
•Preparing food and Cooking Food - Undertake training as required, preparation, cooking and presentation of a range of foods including meat, fish, vegetable dishes
•Stock control - Supporting the receiving, storing and rotation of stock
•Maintaining a safe and clean environment - good food hygiene, temperatures and cleanliness of kitchen equipment, fridge, cookers, utensils and surfaces to a high standard
•To be fully aware of and adhere to the Restaurant's food safety, fire safety procedures and health & safety regulations.
•To ensure that all customers’ needs and wishes are met efficiently in the preparation of food

Your apprenticeship will enable you to gain experience working alongside very experienced chefs and progress your learning to a Level 3 Professional Cookery.
The Apprenticeship training for this vacancy will be provided by Runshaw College. As this is a funded Apprenticeship programme it is not open to candidates who have already achieved a qualification at Level 4 or above.
