Xander Hendrix Healthcare are recruiting Specialty Doctors in Emergency Medicine on fixed term contracts of 12 months, for one of our client NHS Trusts based in Northern Ireland.
The hospital is situated on the outskirts of Londonderry in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is the largest District General Hospital in Northern Ireland and has the widest range of specialties outside of Belfast.
These are new posts established to provide the Emergency Department with additional senior cover. The post holders will carry out middle grade duties and will work under the clinical direction of the Consultants in Emergency Medicine. Out of hours work will be required. There will be no on call commitment.
Clinical duties will be to assess and treat new patients; to act as resuscitation team leader for seriously ill or injured patients, including children while they are in the Emergency Department; to undertake review clinics; to assist in the supervision and training of junior medical staff; to perform minor surgical procedures including manipulation of fractures.
Candidates should have full GMC registration and a licence to practise or be eligible for GMC registration.
The hospital Trust will sponsor Tier 2 Visas and relocation assistance is available.
