Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer

The Multiple Winding Company Limited are a dynamic and expanding textile manufacturer based in Manchester, having recently been acquired by an American parent to facilitate rapid growth; the Company is going through a very exciting and challenging program of improvement activities to drive its position in the European market.

The Company is looking for a Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer to help to implement a key range of maintenance and development projects on its equipment. These include:

- Scheduled maintenance of its principal production machines

- Undertaking repair work to breakdowns

- Helping to make machinery improvements which are focussed on improving efficiency and capacity utilisation

- Implementing workplace organisation activities in the engineering department

- Ordering parts from suppliers

A background of maintenance roles in production or manufacturing environments is essential, with some experience of 5S and health and safety legislation. The key to success in the role is attitude – applicants must be able to demonstrate a willingness to work hard and learn quickly, and be able to contribute on under their own steam in a short period of time.
