There are 236,165 reasons why you should want this job.

The bad news is there are 236,165 children in the UK with special educational needs who are in danger of falling through the cracks.

The good news is this number has been decreasing since 2010 and we’re proud of our small contribution to this decline... But there’s still plenty more to do.

We are Fresh Start in Education - an independent, privately owned provider of specialist education services for disadvantaged children and young people all over the country who are unable to attend regular or specialist education – and we need you to help us continue this important work. We provide specialist tutors to help these young people get back into the educational system in close liaison with the relevant local authorities, schools and parents.

Your role will be to support this activity by creating the right environments for it to happen and supporting all of the stakeholders with all the data, the best-practice and the resources they need to get the best out of each intervention. You’ll be delivering weekly 1:1 sessions throughout the Newcastle and Gateshead areas and there will be between 2 to 5 sessions per week where each session can vary from 3 to 6 hours in length.

If you’re a positive caring person with organizational abilities, good communication skills and relevant teaching experience we’d love to hear from you. You’d be joining a company that will offer you a fun and nurturing environment – and one where you’ll be encouraged to further develop your skills.
