Job type: Full Time, Temporary appointment for at least 12 months

NFER is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Researcher/Research Manager Centre for Assessment to join the team based in Slough. The successful candidate will join us on a full time temporary appointment for at least 12 months and will receive a competitive salary of £25,151 to £38,042 per annum DOE & qualifications.

An exciting opportunity for a teacher of maths / numeracy, English / literacy and/or with expertise in e-assessment to join the UK’s largest independent provider of research, assessment and information services for education.

NFER makes a difference to learners of all ages by helping improve practice and understanding. The Centre for Assessment is involved in all aspects of assessment, from the development of high stakes tests for the monitoring of national standards to creating assessment and curriculum resources for teachers to use to track progress in their classrooms. The Centre also carries out assessment-related research as well as producing guidance for schools on curriculum and assessment policy.

The key responsibilities of this Researcher/Research Manager Centre for Assessment post are:

- Test development

- Conducting research as part of project teams

- Contributing to the development of research proposals.

Teaching experience in the UK is required. Researcher/Research Manager Centre for Assessment applicants should also be able to demonstrate a flexible range of research skills; experience of educational and/or social research is desirable.

Strong organisational skills and a very high level of attention to detail are essential requirements for this Researcher/Research Manager Centre for Assessment role.
