Return to Practice: Adult Nursing

Are you a Qualified Nurse or Adult Nurse and your Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registration has lapsed or you had a break in practice? Would you like to return to Nursing? Do you live in County Durham, Darlington or Bishop Auckland?

  • Salary: Band 3 for Return to Nursing
  • Hours: Full time or part time options available

County Durham & Darlington Foundation Trust (CDDFT) is offering you the opportunity to complete the Return to Practice (RtP) Programme from September 2016 and renew your skills in partnership with Teesside University. The Return to Nursing Practice programme is accredited by the NMC.

You will be required to complete academic work (a 20 week programme) and complete a minimum number of clinical practice hours dependent on your time away from practice.

You will be provided with a training placement within a Nursing team, allowing you to complete the RtP programme whilst receiving a salary, with a guaranteed band 5 post upon successful completion of the programme and are NMC Registered.

Opportunities are available across our Acute Hospitals and Community Services within CDDFT.

You will be provided with a sign off mentor to support you in your exciting new journey. Once you have completed the programme you will be supported through CDDFTs Preceptorship programme, and your on-going professional development.
