QUALITY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR - PART TIME – LIGHTING & HOME FURNISHING - WEST LOTHIAN, SCOTLAND –£18,000 BASIC SALARY (PRO RATA)
Quality Assurance Coordinator urgently required for our well established client who is one of the UK’s leading lighting and home furnishing supplier and retailer.
Due to their continued success they now require a Quality Assurance Coordinator to work from their Head office in West Lothian, Scotland.
THE ROLE
- As a As Quality Assurance Coordinator you will be responsible for reducing the level of returned and damaged products by working closely with internal teams and external suppliers and factories to improve product quality and the customer experience
- You will be responsible for taking products from an idea to a finished product, ensuring that all products are of a specified quality and fit for purpose.
- Working closely with suppliers and independent test houses to ensure all products are compliant to the relevant legislation.
- Working with buying team to establish quality requirements from suppliers
- Work closely with Far East suppliers and factories ensuring quality standards are met and maintained
- Devise and establishing quality procedures, standards and specifications
- Control and maintain electrical conformity & fire safety.
- Provide technical guidance and support to key departments.
- Overview and control goods in and dispatch quality inspections.
- Reviewing customer’s feedback and claims and liaising with credits department and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Setting standards for quality as well as health and safety;
- Support and provide technical information for product knowledge and standards training;
- Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures;
- Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports;
- Making sure the company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors
- You will be working from my clients Head Office, in West Lothian, Scotland
THE PERSON
- The successful candidate MUST proven experience in a similar role, preferably in lighting or furniture business
- Strong organisational and problem solving skills
- Able to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
- A positive " can -do" attitude
- Analytical with excellent investigation skills
- Able to work autonomously and with minimal supervision
- Computer literate- Microsoft Excel, outlook, word, powerpoint
- Microsoft Dynamics Nav knowledge would be an advantage
- Living within a commutable distance to the West Lothian, Scotland office

- £18,000 Basic Salary (pro rata)
- 20 days holiday + statutory days
