Our client administers the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme and provide pensions to over 1.5 million people.  With a strong heritage as the provider of a broad portfolio of administration services, their deep public and private sector knowledge and experience means they are a unique provider in the field.  

They are now looking to appoint an enthusiastic and confident Systems/Data Analyst who has the drive, knowledge and analytical skills to deliver excellent customer service both internally and externally.

Their Interface Analysts are responsible for processing and analysing electronically interfaced pension data and engaging with over 250 clients to improve the quality of their interface.

The primary responsibilities of the role will be processing high volume employer interfaces to their Pensions Administration System, ensuring all incidents and requests received by the Interface Team are completed to specification and service levels.  You will be handling and processing high volumes of sensitive data to time, cost and quality constraints.

You will be working closely with key stakeholders to ensure agreed priorities are met and will engage with employers and payroll providers (shared service providers) to improve interfaces / data quality.

The successful candidate will be qualified to GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English Grade C or above, have experience of working in a Systems environment coupled with an understanding of relational databases (preferably SQL) and the ability to improve standards and develop new procedures.  Although not essential, experience in programming languages such as SQL and experience in a technology/technical project delivery related role would be advantageous.

With strong analytical, numerical and logic skills, you will also possess strong problem solving/process improvement skills and will demonstrate a commitment to delivering outstanding Customer Service.  Strong MS office skills, especially with Excel and Access, are also important.
