Secretary to the Chairman
The successful candidate will be an experienced Secretary and is needed to provide first class secretarial support to the Chairman.
We need to furnish our Chairman with an energetic and dynamic Secretary that will leave him free to do what he does best.
A unique innovative inventor, leader of the highest calibre, his Secretary needs to have the flexibility to travel with him and organise his diary within his four main work bases in Britain, Canada, USA and the Bahamas on occasions.
This is an ideal opportunity for you to put your stamp on a new role and make it your own. You will be a team player who is business astute and a forward planner.
Although this is an unusual job opportunity, it is good fun. You must be an ambitious person who can hold people’s attention and have the skill and character to join in and be part of the team.
Duties will include:
• Accurate diary management
• Dealing with local and international calls
• Carrying out background research and presenting findings;
• Organising and attending meetings and ensuring the Chairman is well prepared for such
• Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff.
• Maintaining contact with key figures across departments to keep updated
• Preparation of documents to include reports and presentations using MS Powerpoint
• Minute taking
• Coordinating calls to include UK and overseas customers
• Complete management of email inboxes to include responding to emails in director’s absence
• Arranging travel and accommodation
• Ad hoc administration to include filing, scanning and photocopying
You will have experience of working at Senior Manager/Director level and/or a similar role with a can-do attitude. Proficient PC skills are required and high levels of initiative and organisational abilities are very important. Excellent communication skills are vital as well as a professional and approachable manner.
