Customer Services Officer
Salary: £24,472 to £28,746 per annum – Grade 4
Location – Service Headquarters, Calcot, Reading
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) are seeking to recruit a Customer Services Officer to join their Health, Safety, Facilities and Stores team based at their service headquarters. As the Customer Services Officer, you will be a highly organised individual, with excellent communication skills.
The key focus of this role is to:
- Provide a reception service at the RBFRS Headquarters, ensuring that visitors and telephone callers receive an efficient and customer focused experience.
- Provide a range of administrative support services to the Health, Safety Facilities and Stores team including the provision of excellent record keeping and the maintenance of departmental data.
- Provide and maintain a range of functions for the service including mailroom services, issuing ID cards and maintaining the access control system for Service HQ and other RBFRS premises.
- Seek to build excellent customer focussed services for both internal and external customers of RBFRS.
The key role requirements are:
- A proven track record in managing a reception/customer services role.
- A team player, who sets high standards in customer care with the ability to prioritise and manage the Customer Services Assistants.
- Ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.
- Excellent communicator, working with internal and external customers and visitors to RBFRS.
- Methodical and accurate, with the ability to solve problems in a busy environment.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Hold a full UK Driving licence.
