This training and consultancy business based across Melton East Yorkshire, Chesterfield and Aylesbury has an excellent opportunity for a qualified Management Accountant based at their head office in Melton, East Yorkshire. The role is well suited to an ambitious individual with excellent stakeholder management skills. They are seeking candidates with the gravitas and attitude to join their senior management team (SMT).

Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate and timely reporting for all contracts including reconciliation of PFR Reports provided by the Skills Funding Agency.
- Ensure accurate representation of the P&Ls, post all required ledger entries, along with reconciliations of accruals / pre-payments.
- Review reported performance against flexed targets, and ensure that the key drivers of variances are explained.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business to influence financial performance and understand business challenges / strategies.
- Produce accurate forecasts of revenue, costs and margin by liaising with & challenging the Sales, Operational Delivery teams
- Review forecast against Business Plan and previous forecast targets, and ensure key drivers of variances are explained.
- Deliver monthly scheduled and ad-hoc reporting to tight deadlines.
- Help the SMT in streamlining existing processes, and designing new reports and processes where necessary. Owning and driving key projects, impacting Finance and the wider business.

Skills & Responsibilities:
- Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA or CIMA).
- Experience with Skills Funding Agency or Education Funding Agency contracts would be desirable, but not essential
- Diligent, attention to detail, willing to challenge.
- Solid MS Excel skills.
- Able to act on own initiative.
- Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively to meet tight reporting deadlines.
- Good at communicating at all levels,
- Ability to influence decision making process through clear presentation of financials
- Experience of owning and driving projects to improve the efficiency of Finance models / controls
