We have a great opportunity for Finance Manager to join an established organisation based in Chippenham. This is a stand alone role and you will responsible for managing the companies finance function. This is a varied position and responsibilities will include;

  • Purchase ledger
    • Setting up new supplier accounts
    • Processing invoices and credit notes
    • Reconciliation of supplier accounts
    • Preparing and processing payments
  • Sales ledger
    • Processing invoices and credit notes
    • Credit checking of new customer accounts
    • Credit control
    • Production of sales reports
    • Calculation of customer rebates
    • Calculation of sales reps commission
  • Cash control
    • Ensuring that the cash is managed within the company
    • Bank reconciliation
    • Managing transactions through the Trust Account
    • Production and maintenance of cash flow forecasts
  • Processing and managing accruals and prepayments
  • Production of trial balance and profit and loss accounts
  • Production of various financial month end and annual reports as required by the Managing Director and other senior staff
  • Production of VAT return and timely and accurate payment to HMRC
  • Salaries
    • Calculation of overtime payments
    • Maintaining absence and sickness records, calculation of sick pay
    • Calculation and processing of all statutory payments and deductions
    • Processing and paying monthly salaries
    • Ensuring the pension scheme adheres to the legislation
    • Timely and accurate payment of PAYE to HMRC
    • Submission of all HMRC forms as and when required
    • Reconciliation and submission of HMRC year end returns
    • Issuing pay increase notices and letters when required
  • HR
    • Maintenance of holiday allowance
    • LSA vouchers
    • Appointment and dismissal correspondence

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, be able to produce a full set of accounts and be able to work well independently. Due to the nature of the business flexibility is a must and you will happy to act as part of a team and "muck in when required".
