They are now looking for a HE Lecturer in Civil Engineering and the Built Environment to join them to teach on their HNC, HND and Degree construction programmes. This is a Permanent, Full time position.
Within the role, you will work primarily with students engaged across a range of courses providing a high level of support needed to achieve their programme of study. You will deliver high quality teaching and learning, ensuring stretch, challenge and engagement of students. Contributing to the development, planning and implementation of a high level curriculum, the role involves developing learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress. The successful applicant will also have additional Course Leader responsibilities.
The successful candidate will hold a Degree (ideally a Masters) or equivalent in the relevant subject coupled with a Certificate of Education or PGCE (or willingness to work towards). Able to communicate an in depth knowledge of the sector, you will take responsibility for effective learning of students and have strong industry knowledge and experience.
Being innovative in your teaching methods is important, as is having a high level of flexibility, enthusiasm and most importantly, a commitment to the student journey. Having the ability to inspire learners is key, as well as being able to work as part of a well-established team of professionals.
