Our client is a family run business who has been trading for over 7 years. They have a fantastic opportunity for a Bookkeeper / Admin Assistant to join their accountancy practice based in Shepshed, Leicestershire.

This would ideally suit someone who wants to fit part time hours around childcare arrangement. In return you will receive a competitive salary depending on experience and a relaxed and friendly working environment.

The successfully appointed person must have the confidence and experience to work under minimal supervision and be able to prepare general accounts as well as be responsible for other administrative and book keeping tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Annual returns
  • Client letters
  • VAT returns
  • Processing bookkeeping jobs
  • Sales invoices
  • Purchase invoices
  • Bank statements
  • Corresponding with various 3rd parties via e-mail & post as and when required
  • General office duties
  • Processing payrolls

The ideal candidate will have a full understanding of bookkeeping and ledgers and be competent in Sage accounts and Sage Payroll. You will have excellent PC skills (Word and Excel) and have a full understanding of payroll. You will have the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner and have high levels of attention to detail.
