Our client is looking for an Accounts Trainee to join their Business Support Department. The team provides a wide range of business support services for clients including tailored management accounts, business plans, projections and secondments. They aim to exceed their clients’ expectations in all cases.
They offer the chance to work with clients in a wide range of sectors. This entry level role would suit someone who is interested in developing an accountancy career.
The role will include training which on completion of exams and log book; will lead to a recognised accounting qualification. They anticipate that training will commence within the first six months and you will be expected to achieve qualification within three to four years.
Accounts Trainee – Duties:
Initial duties include:
• Processing client invoices on accounting software.
• Reconciling bank accounts.
• Journal entries on accountancy systems.
• Analysing information on Excel.
• Ad-hoc administration assistance.
Advancing on to:
• Preparation of VAT returns.
• Preparation of management accounts and annual accounts.
Accounts Trainee - Requirements:
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Organised, with ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
• Computer literate, including Excel knowledge.
• Good school leaver qualifications in Maths and English or equivalent experience.
• Able to use initiative and demonstrates a willingness to learn.
