Retail Delivery/Collection Driver

Title: Retail Delivery/Collection Driver

Reporting to: Retail Managers

Accountable to: Head of Retail

Hours of work: Full time – 35 hours per week.

Salary: TBC

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• To work to agreed van operation, organise and plan routes with a good knowledge of the North West.
• Ensure regular delivery of donated stock to shop managers including rotated stock.
• Record detailed information on collections and deliveries using collection books.
• Ensure Gift Aid sign up leaflets are attached to every house collection, and donors are encouraged to sign up.
• To post house to house collection sacks to agreed quantity routes when required.
• Record information on routes returns.
• To collect and deliver furniture donations as required.
• To ensure all donations are processed with management.
• To work well alone using a good initiative and also work as part of a team.

Administration

• Record pick-ups, deliveries, details and quantities.
• Identify and record Gift Aid donations to shop managers.
• Complete daily and weekly mileage records.
• Ensure shop managers sign for deliveries including quantities.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance/housekeeping standards are recorded.

Vehicle

• Ensure health and safety checks are completed monthly.
• All maintenance issues are reported to Head Office promptly.
• Ensure vehicle is kept clean and well presented.

Volunteers

• To recruit volunteers to support van operation / warehouse function.
• To train volunteers on good practice on all aspects of van operation.

Customer Care

• As a representative for NWAA, ensure a high level of customer care.
• Ensure a high level of customer care to Retail Managers and Retail Volunteer teams.

Health & Safety Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Policy.
