Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a HR Administrator to join our 'On & Off Boarding' team to work in Newcastle Upon Tyne.


The On-Off Boarding team are responsible for the administrative support for all new starters and leavers to the business. They ensure the HR systems and personal records are updated accurately and in a timely fashion, as well as issuing all offer paperwork to new starters and ensuring that all necessary pre-employment checks are carried out for our new employees. They are the first point of contact for queries in relation to starters and leavers to the organisation - providing support and advice to employees and line managers.



What you'll be doing:

As a HR Administrator on the 'On & Off Boarding' team, you will:

  • Enter timely and accurate data into HR and IT systems for all Starters and Leavers across BBUK.
  • Be responsible for the creation of all new employee associated documents and ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed.
  • Contribute to the effective working of the Employee Services Teams to ensure seamless service line delivery. Ensuring that all relevant information relating to starters and leavers is passed over to the relevant Employee Services and IT teams within defined timescales.
  • Managing Service Requests via the Oracle CRM on demand system.
  • Act as first point of contact for line managers and employees in relation to On and Off Boarding processes.


Who we're looking for

  • Excellent administration experience - ideally within a Shared Service Centre.
  • Knowledge of HR Administration processes.
  • Communicates well both verbally and in writing.
  • Flexible approach to work and is a team player with a track record of successfully prioritising work and managing time effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Records information accurately.
  • Customer service focused.
