The Team

The Transformation Team is formed from a group of specialists whose aim is to improve productivity and achieve a standard operating model reducing complexity and error. To accomplish this we must consider how we use our current tools, how we deliver our services and what we need to change and implement to make a significant difference.

The Role

The Payroll Process Improvement Manager role in the team will be to bring Payroll expertise and be the enabler for process optimisation and best practice.

Delivery Key Responsibility


Work with the Transformation team to determine an approach to achieve the following objectives
Optimise how we use ResourceLink to deliver our services
Fix legacy implementation issues and manual processes
Identify workarounds and eliminate or at least reduce
Ensure that our employees are skilled in the use of ResourceLink
Ensure that our employees are skilled in the use of other operating tools
Apply the learnings and solutions of Project Horizon
Resolve Specific Client Issues contractual, data, SLA&rsquos
For the Payroll Process Improvement Manager there will be a focus on the processes and practices utilised by our teams
Work with the Transformation Team to identify the top priorities that should be reviewed on each client account to achieve efficiencies and maximise productivity
Participate in the review of accounts, working closely with the operation teams
Gain the confidence of our teams, evaluating current productivity and identifying areas for improvements.
Gain an understanding of our teams and customers pain points
Implementing, correcting or improving the areas identified
Work with the training specialist on producing training modules and Advice and Guidance notes for the teams
From time to time undertake any other duties as reasonably required.
Adherence to corporate policies and procedures as appropriate.

Essential skills:


In depth knowledge and experience of Payroll  and payroll processing
Detailed knowledge of Payroll and Payroll legislative requirements
Experience of specifying business requirements and requirements gathering
Excellent customer facing skills
Ability to work independently
Good analytical skills &ndash to be able to break down a problem, situation or process into its component parts, to separate the main issues from side-issues, to understand the nature of parts and their relationship to one another.
Good communicator and customer oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Location

This is a home based role, covering the whole of the UK, a car allowance will be provided.  Overnight stays are a regular feature of this role.  Equipment is provided to ensure you can work effectively from your home location and all UK offices have hot-desks for use by remote workers.
