Our client is seeking a Goods Inward Quality Inspector based at our Merthyr Tydfil site in South Wales. The role holder will have responsibility for quality checking and testing inbound deliveries at the site.Check products arriving into the UK warehouse meet the company's regulatory and quality standards. Inspect and report on UK handling in order to reduce damage of goods during loading and unloading Complete reports on new and existing products commenting on quality issues and serviceability, these to be fed back to all relevant stakeholders within the group. New product sample inspection reports. First production inspection reports. Inbound audit reports. Actively monitor product specification changes to ensure these have been made as requested. Check packaging for transit damage feeding back any issues relating to loading/transport Inspect inbound products to ensure construction, design characteristics, accessories, artworks and safety aspects all meet the company's defined standards. Test product against the user manual to ensure continuity and accuracy between the two. Work closely with Product Managers and Quality Managers to give feedback on product improvement and development. Thorough product knowledge of the full Hoover, Candy and Baumatic product ranges would be advantageous. Domestic appliance or testing background. Familiarity and experience of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Warehouse systems would be advantageous Sound understanding of auditing techniques. Good knowledge of Health and Safety practices in the workplace. Excellent attention to detail. Willingness to learn and evolve within this role
