Our client has exciting opportunities for a committed, compassionate and customer focussed Support Workers to deliver high quality care to their customers. The opportunities are for a number of full and part time Support Workers to join their Health & Disability Services in the Herefordshire and Shropshire areas.

Location: Herefordshire, Leominster and Shropshire 
Salary: up to £16,485 per annum (Full Time Equivalent)

Hours: Various hours per week

You will be a confident lone worker experienced in delivering personal care and promoting independence. You will need to have experience of working in environments with learning disabilities or challenging behaviour as well as supported living.

A conscientious and compassionate approach makes an incredible difference in the daily life of the organisation’s customers. You will need to be a confident advocate, recognising the potential of the individual and championing their needs.

Hereford

The services in Hereford are designed to enable customers with learning disabilities to live in their own home, either in a group setting or on an individual basis. Some services are 24 hour care and support services.

Shropshire

There are a total 17 private services in Shropshire. Our client has exciting opportunities for a number of full and part time Support Workers to join their Health and Disability Services in Shropshire.

Leominster

Our client’s services in Leominster are designed to enable customers with learning disabilities to live in their own home, either in a group setting or on an individual basis. Customers are supported to maintain their tenancies and build life skills to maximise independence and to develop new skills.

As a support worker, you will provide the high quality care and support to customers to maximise their independence and extend their right to choices in all areas of their lives. Each customer receives a tailored package of care to meet their individual needs. Typical responsibilities could include supporting customers to access services within the community, support with financial budgeting and shopping, to supporting customers with personal care, domestic duties and meal preparation.

Experience is not essential as our client is looking for caring individuals who want to make a real difference to customers’ lives, and who are passionate about delivering high quality care and support. You will be kind, attentive and willing to 'go that extra mile’, you should be responsive to individual needs and preferences and have a passion for promoting active involvement whilst offering respect and unconditional positive regard for the people you support.
