                                                     Business Performance Coach

BRAND NEW ROLE working for International Construction/Engineering player looking to recruit a Business Performance Coach.

Role has a UK nationwide remit and with a lot of UK travel involved.  There will be some home based working.

Successful candidate ideally needs to be based in the North/North East of England (reports into Manchester office),

The Role

Working within Engineering Services this job has 3 key areas of focus.

* To introduce and sustain a rigorous Coaching for Performance within Engineering Services

* To harness and support an embedded culture of accountability

* To design and deliver training for any new technologies with Engineering Services

Key Responsibilities

The Business & Performance Coach will provide 1 to 1 + team coaching support for field based line managers, based around their day to day man management activities to deliver the training for all new technologies within Engineering Services

To capture and support the development and implementation of new innovations that will add value to the business either financially or culturally.   To assist in the cultural change programme within Engineering Services

To identify and harness new technologies and networks that will enhance communication with their mobile workforce and aide cultural buy in.  Promote and deliver succession planning, management development and leadership development programmes for low and mid-level managers.

Where appropriate to assist Senior Management with the design, development and introduction of new field impact processes

Demonstrable experience of Business Performance Coaching or a similar discipline is desirable.

Operational Accountabilities

  • Accountable for specific areas of responsibility and deliverables and manages the associated risks
  • Delivers activities to support operational objectives for their specific contract, project or specialism
  • Inputs to planning activities with horizons of typically 6 months to one year
  • Operates within agreed operational and/or management guidelines
  • Interacts with client or users around specific work efforts and deliverables
  • Supports delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards
  • Manages the activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards taking account of impact outside area of responsibility
  • Focus of work is predominantly against defined targets but performs a range of tasks from complex to straightforward

People Accountabilities

For a small contract, section of contract or single disciplinary teams:

  • Typically first line manager with overall people responsibility
  • Optimises performance
  • Undertakes performance reviews and provides training and reward recommendations
  • Responsible for implementing disciplinary actions up to final warning

The Person

  • Thorough working knowledge of one functional area through significant job experience & training
  • Experience/background in designing/delivery performance programmes.
  • Background in Learning & Development, Business Coaching, Training etc. ideal.
  • Experience of supporting a business contract and/or providing support to a professional function
  • Likely to have 5 years’ business experience and/or be a fully qualified professional with minimum of 2 years PQE with Intermediate Level Qualifications.
