This is an opportunity to join a full service creative and digital marketing agency based in Birmingham.

They work for a range of public and private sector clients, offering agency services from branding, campaigns, tenders, digital work such as App development, brochures and general marketing.

They are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and organised Production/Studio Manager with a minimum 5 years marketing experience and a strong understanding of both print and digital processes.

Production/Studio Manager responsibility is to ensure the most efficient use of resources and timely delivery of projects through well organised scheduling and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities and Job Expectations:

Scheduling / trafficking
- Daily, weekly and monthly studio scheduling
- Ensure that timesheets are completed accurately on a twice weekly basis
- Apply the production control systems as defined, at all times
- Knowledge of job trafficking systems (such as Synergist) in addition to Microsoft software

Daily studio handling
- Ensure that account handlers have provided clear and understandable briefs for jobs in the next day
- Ensure that studio members understand the briefs prior to starting work
- On a daily basis ensure that all work is progressed in an efficient manner, advising account handlers in advance if jobs are likely to go over scheduled time

Per job scenario
- Liaise with account handler to receive production brief, produce quote and production timeline - estimating work accurately & maintaining profitability
- Liaise with account handler and studio member to receive creative brief
- Schedule accordingly
- Ensure studio works according to timeline and advise if any warning signs of not meeting deadlines
- Receive work from studio and check for accuracy against brief to ensure that artwork is produced correctly at the first attempt
- Liaise with account handler regards amends / next steps of project and schedule accordingly
- Once signed off organize for final file type to be prepared for relevant suppliers - ensure that before any work leaves the office, the correct approval processes have been adhered to
- Liaise with suppliers to produce production specs, obtain quotes/timelines and final production stages

Knowledge / personality:

- Understanding of all the latest production/print techniques
- Represent the department with a confident and positive approach
- Communicate with suppliers in a respectful manner representing Synergy
- Be pro-active with account groups, and taking ownership of work
- Contribute to the improvement in communication between departments at all times
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control
- An influential and persuasive manner when liaising with team members, suppliers and clients
- Someone who remains calm under pressure
- Ability to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously
- Own transport would be advised
