We are a friendly & busy private medical spinal practice based at BMI The Hampshire Clinic, Old Basing. We are looking for a Medical Receptionist who has worked within a private medical practice before. The role is full time, Monday to Friday 08.30 am to 5 pm.
The responsibilities for the role are:
- Greeting patients, directing patients to appropriate parties and providing clerical support to other members of the team. Typing skills essential.
- Answering telephone calls and directs callers to the appropriate member of the team.
- Compose and distribute routine correspondence and reports. Typing skills required and a good knowledge of computers for word processing, invoicing, database management and other applications.
- Maintain scheduling and event calendars, and ordering and dispensing supplies.
- Open and distribute incoming mail and other material, and preparing answers to routine letters.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for clients.
- Set up and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material. Scan & file documents.
- Prepare invoices, process payments & chase up outstanding accounts.
- Manage patient database system.
- Provide services to clients. Dealing with all queries in a polite and prompt manner.
- Other ad hoc reception duties as needed.
