A Manchester primary school are looking for Teaching Assistant to work full time supporting a child in their reception class. The position is to start as soon as possible and will be until the end of the academic year. The child displays challenging and occasionally aggressive behaviour therefore the successful candidate would need to be calm and patient.

This large Primary School in Manchester caters for children from aged 5 to 11 years old. It has a community ethos and so the successful applicant would need to be part of the whole school community. The staff team have worked very hard to achieve the schools improvement and they are very proud of their children. The children predominantly come from a British background although there is a mix of different backgrounds, religions and cultures.

You will need to have a strong commitment to pupil's learning as well as caring and supportive qualities. Children's achievements are very important and the adults at work with great enthusiasm to make sure that each child achieves the very best they can.

This post will involve supporting a child in a reception class and you will be expected to assess and record all progress. The successful candidate may also be required to liaise with outside agencies and the SENCO.
