An exciting range of career opportunities exists in our expanding clinical research organisation. MAC Clinical Research Services provides specialist diagnostic patient services, and manages clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry. We are seeking to appoint 2 experienced software engineers to join our core development team, working on several exciting projects across our organization. Located in Manchester and/or Blackpool you will work closely with other developers across multiple platforms and technologies to create amazing applications that are elegant, highly usable, reliable and maintainable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis, design, coding and testing of software applications, providing technical solutions that conform to requirements, and with a focus on high quality and high performance.
  • Write well clean, structured, commented, and elegant code to high standards so that other developers can read and work on your code.
  • Increase automated test coverage of the application suite.
  • Verify that fixes for defects and new features work as expected and do not cause regressions.
  • Facilitate continuous delivery of applications, to ensure overall time of software delivery is low.
  • Participate in a small agile team and contribute what you've learnt to improving the process and share your knowledge with others, including juniors.

Required Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • 5+ years commercial experience
  • Proven website development using ASP.Net v4.5
  • Proven database development experience with SQL Server and TSQL, understanding of SQL trace, stored procedures and user defined functions
  • Azure configuration and deployment
  • Frontend technologies such as JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS, AJAX.
  • Frontend CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap, Angular.
  • Agile way of working.
  • Source Code Control such as SVN, GIT
  • Automated Testing such as Telerik Test Studio
  • Car and Valid Driving Licence

  • GAMP5 Validation
  • V- Model documentation
