A part time Accounts Manager / Bookkeeper is required to join the boutique locally owned media company that operates Cheshire's 2 leading local radio stations plus a regional digital station covering Merseyside, West Cheshire and N.Wales. They also have a number of on-line media platforms.
They are looking to increase their accounting function.
They are looking for a solid experienced accounts professional who has operated the purchase ledger, sales ledgers in SME's to deliver their accounts function from the ground up.
Your main duties will include:
- Processing of sales and purchase invoices
- Posting of month-end journals
- Bank reconciliations
- Debt chasing
- Organising supplier payments
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Challenging supplier contracts
- Supporting other office administration duties as required
- Liaising with external accountants
The position is based at their studios in Macclesfield
You'll have:
- Good communication skills
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills
- Consistently delivered work to a high standard
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Fully conversant with SAGE including invoice entry and management accounts. Although they are considering cloud based software such as 'Clear Books'
- Excellent IT skills, including Excel and Word
