Part Time Maths & Science SEN Teacher

Are you an experienced Maths and Science Teacher looking for a new challenge working with EBD Students? Do you want to make a real difference to the education and lives of students? If so then the following exciting opportunity based in Southend could be for you:

Our clients are looking for a qualified Maths and Science Teacher with experience of teaching both subjects at GCSE Level. Ideally you will have previous experience working with EBD students, although this is not essential if you have the right attitude and have some experience working with challenging behaviour.

The position will be to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.

You must have a thorough understanding of differentiation within the classroom, an emphasis on behaviour management and inclusive learning and the interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate with staff and students.

This is a temporary position with no fixed end date and you will be teaching 3 days per week.

Our clients are a small special school for pupils who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. They also offer interim tuition for permanently excluded children or those at the point of exclusion
