ASP.Net Developer

My client’s currently seeking to recruit a dedicated, talented and hardworking individual to develop and maintain bespoke systems for Company use. The ASP.Net Developer role is an extremely exciting opportunity within a very technically astute team.

This is a very exciting opportunity for two ASP.Net Developers to join a growing IT department. In a team of 9 IT professionals, you will work alongside 5 .Net developers to support the Company’s in-house software as well as manage individual projects to meet business needs. Projects include automating daily business activities, supporting web-related developments as well as ad-hoc projects.

My client is a specialist within the motor trade with 30+ years trading experience. Following a very successful year, they are now looking to recruit two ASP.Net Developers (VB.Net).

Essential technical competencies:

  • ASP.Net 4.0 (Using VB.NET)

  • SQL Server 2012

  • Ability to write complex queries in PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, database design

  • VBScript, HTML/DHTML / CSS / JavaScript / JQuery

  • Experience in writing Web Services, SOAP, XML

Other essential competencies:

  • Proven commercial experience in developing web based database driven applications using ASP.Net using SQL Server as the backend.

  • Experience in working on database driven commercial websites designed to the best practise

  • Experience in building and writing Web Services, SOAP, XML Feeds

  • Experience designing project specifications

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • HTML5

  • CSS3

  • Umbraco

  • C#
