First Point is a homelessness prevention service providing housing related floating support to residents of the Borough of Basingstoke and Deane.

The First Point Information and Guidance Worker provides housing related support to people in crisis and is a first responder to individuals presenting with no money, food or with an imminent or immediate eviction from their home. A car driver is essential given the geographical spread of our clients across the borough.

As well as one to one support for clients the individual will deliver weekly drop-in sessions at a variety of locations across the town, which clients can attend as an alternative to individual visits or once the initial crisis has been resolved.

The Information and Guidance Worker will also support the Service Manager with the oversight of the digital case-management system which includes data generation for monthly and quarterly reports.

We offer a professional, flexible and person centred service to all our clients. Housing Workers work proactively to support clients to sustain and maintain their tenancies and to promote independence. We are a busy team and as such work closely to support each other. We offer excellent training as well as a rewarding and fulfilling career.
