Bookkeeper / Accounts Manager - Sage 50 - Urgent Role

This established and successful entrepreneurial business based in Watford, wish to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper/ Accountant. This is an urgent role that needs to be filled quickly.

They are looking for an efficient, organised problem solver, with a hands on approach. You will oversee all transactions, records, payroll and other financial and administration matters. You must be self-motivated and comfortable working on your own, as well as be flexible and help with other ad hoc tasks.

Duties:

- Maintain all accounts related to sales and purchase and other expenses, across 2 different ledgers
- Monthly reporting of turnover and cash flow
- Weekly Bank reconciliation across different currencies
- Filing of both EU & UK Vat returns in accordance with individual country legislation
- Monthly Payroll
- Currency trading to optimise Exchange rates
- Ensure all Legal statutory returns are completed at year end for Company and Directors

Requirements:

- 3-5 Years Bookkeeping/Accounting experience to Trial Balance
- Excel skills together with knowledge of Sage Line 50
- Familiarity with EU VAT procedures and filing requirements
- Knowledge of Online Trading Platform reports & reconciliation would be beneficial but not essential
- Adaptable and able to learn quickly with good attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving
- Experience within a distribution environment would be a bonus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to integrate well into a team environment
