Non-Catalogue Procurement Team Leader

Lyreco have an exciting opportunity for a Non-Catalogue Procurement Team Leader to join the Marketing  team based at our Head Office in Telford. The successful candidate will receive a salary of up to £25K depending on experience.

As our Non-Catalogue Procurement Team Leader you must be able to demonstrate:-

- Manage the Non-Catalogue Spot Buying team, which includes planning, recruitment, performance reviews, training and development

- Allocate spot buying opportunities to the team on a daily basis & control the flow of work

- Maximize value to Lyreco for Non-Catalogue Goods and Services through the use of

professional procurement practices and techniques

- Develop key suppliers and implement strategies and programs to reduce total cost

- Support the wider procurement team in the development and execution of annual saving plans

- Manage and implement specific procurement strategies and scorecards which ensure quality requirements

- Support cross functional teams in order to successfully drive complex sourcing projects

- Periodically review the purchasing strategies in line with business requirements

- Report the key indicators on the department activities

- To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Non-Cat Manager

The successful Non-Catalogue Procurement Team Leader will have the following skills and experience:

- Educated to Degree level or with relevant experience

- 3-5 years commercial experience.

- Very good negotiation skills

- Good planning skills

- Experienced in managing a team

- Experience of supply chain operations within a highly regulated environment

- Business process capability and ability to develop strategic thinking

- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

- Strong analytical skills combined with cost reduction mindset

- Capable to work in a team environment as well as manage a Non-catalogue team to meet their objectives.

- Good educational standard of both English & Maths

- Common sense approach to problem solving

You will be ideally located in the Telford area –  Bridgnorth, Newport, Stafford, Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton.
