We've got a fantastic opportunity for a Specification Technologist to join our produce site in Thrapston. 

Working as part of Technical team you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely generation of all final and factory specifications relating to the products made by the business.

What will I do?

As a Specification Technologist, you will act as primary contact between NPD, Production and Technical to ensure that the company specification system, NPD specifications and internal specifications are aligned, accurate and maintained.

> Administer all of the documentation within the Quality Management System, report generation for site and central functions and coordinate the Internal Audit schedule for the site to ensure that the factory and the customers have accurate tools and reports with which to achieve food safety, legality and quality.
> Ensure that all specifications are aligned and up to date and submitted and signed off prior to product launch.
> Be part of the site HACCP team and ensure that up to date and accurate information is captured and attached to the relevant specification.
> Work with NPD to deliver up to date and accurate QAS's and ensure these are attached to the relevant specifications.
> Keep up to date with any changes made to legislation or scheme standards and inform the relevant managers on site, capturing any requirements within the specs as appropriate.
> Ensure all internal factory specifications and the Innova system is aligned and accurate and communicated.
> Be part of the artwork sign off process and ensure that the artwork is correct and accurate against specification.
> Complete bi-monthly audits on specifications and internal specifications to ensure accurate and aligned with the factory processes. Update as required.
> Work with NPD at concept stage to generate accurate specifications
> Attend and manage the taste panel process and capture trending of results / issues.
> Receipting in of goods and Laboratory invoices /Notifications on the Oracle system.
> Conduct and manage the taste panel and M check system.
> Comply, adhere to & enforce company H&S, HR, environmental requirements as relevant.
> To support the Technical Systems Manager as required and provide cover as appropriate.

What skills do I need to be a successful Specifications Technologist?

> Accuracy and attention to detail in every element of your work
> Prior experience in a similar environment (ideally within the food industry)
> A flexible attitude to task completion and an ability to prioritise your workload in line with business priorities
> Committed to team working
> Excellent verbal, IT and written communication skills

The following skills and experiences are also highly desirable:

> Opal Artwork trained and competent
> Legal labelling trained and competent
> Experience in using the M Create specification system.
