About the Company:

This speciality coffee importing company sources an extensive and varied selection of fine green coffees from producers in almost 20 countries for delivery to specialty roasters in more than 30 countries worldwide. Established in 1996 this growing business has a small, friendly and busy UK office as well as four International offices and two European representatives. Liking coffee is not essential! 

The Finance Manager / Accountant Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director and responsible for an Accounts co-ordinator, this role is pivotal to the business and holds responsibility for the day to day financial management of the Company as well as covering a wide variety of senior level SME duties such as facilities and staff management. 

You’ll be responsible for:

- Daily payments and transfers in multi-currency
- Bank and cash reconciliations
- Management of cash flow
- VAT returns
- Payments to suppliers cheque / online
- Monthly management accounts
- Monthly financial analysis and tax computations
- Monthly cash flow forecasting
- Contact with Bank and other institutions
- Credit control
- Contact with external Accountant/Auditor for Accounts and monthly Payroll
- Full final year accounts and audit preparation

Finance Manager / Accountant Required Skills & Experience:

To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

- Demonstrable knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge and experience of TALLY accounting system will be a huge advantage as this is the system used
- Considerable proven experience in a similar role of this level
- Formal UK Accountancy qualification ACCA / CIMA
- Thorough awareness and proven ability to support an SME business in all areas of commerce
- Exceptional senior manager with skilled leadership abilities
- Independent and proactive, with the ability to resolve operational issues and queries
- Ability to work to tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail, efficiency and highly attuned organisational skills
- Financially focused with lots of energy and motivation
- Excellent business English communications, negotiation and customer service skills 

The company has an excellent location based just on the outskirts of Kingston-upon-Thames. There are fantastic transport links with bus stops right outside the offices and Norbiton train station is just 2 minutes’ walk away. The ideal candidate will live locally.
