This is an opportunity to join an award winning UK textile innovator, independently owned, specialising in the design & manufacture of contract upholstery fabrics. The company is based West Yorkshire's textile heartland, with additional manufacturing in Lithuania & Nottingham, from where it extends global reach into some 80 countries worldwide via established offices, warehousing & distribution channels in Europe, North America, China & Australia. The company sells over 8 million metres of fabric a year for use in commercial offices, banks, universities, NHS, cinema, auditoria & transportation applications in buses, coaches, trains & underground.

They now have a great opportunity for a talented QA Fabric Inspector to join the Quality Department at their Meltham site.
Purpose
Identify, investigate & assist in rectifying fabric quality issues & faults in order to foster high customer satisfaction levels & ensure the highest standards of quality products are maintained. Enhance customer confidence by taking a proactive approach to customer concerns.
Key Tasks:
- Minimise the impact on the customer by intercepting poor quality fabric before dispatch, ensure that faults are correctly tagged & issues reported to the relevant team in a timely fashion.
- Ensure high standards of quality are maintained by managing the outbound verification process, communicating issues effectively with Customer Services, including agreeing timescales for quality checks.
- Support the customer liaison & sales teams by providing accurate and timely assessment of customer issues & returns, including customer visits.
- Communicate with warehouse ensuring timely review of inventory which requires assessment/verification so as not to delay dispatch & meet customer needs.
- Liaise with relevant departments, communicating results of verification inspection, & the impact on our ability to deliver products to meet customer demands.
- Demonstrate a clear focus on customer satisfaction by supporting the CCR process & ensuring a timely resolution from receipt of the issue to effective conclusion.
Knowledge & skills required:
- Knowledge of textile fault awareness and identification
- Proven experience of inspecting Textile fabrics
- Knowledge of AS400, desirable
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages, especially Excel

- Excellent attention to detail & accuracy
- Flexible, able to work as part of a team, & a willingness to learn
- Good time management, organised & methodical approach
- Friendly calm & professional manner
- Ability to manage own workload & use initiative
