Woodlands Hospice is an independent charity providing Specialist Palliative Care to patients living in South Sefton, North Liverpool and Kirkby in Knowsley. The Hospice has a 15 bedded Inpatient unit for patients with complex needs, a Hospice at Home service in South Sefton and offers patient services through attendance at our newly developing Well-being and Support Centre including group therapies, multi- professional assessment days,  community outreach and outpatient clinics.

As part of the ongoing development of services we have taken the opportunity to create a newly structured, cross organisational therapy team led by our Head of Therapy Services and we are now looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join this team. Recruitment of the full team will be phased as the service develops.

We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist qualified in Palliative Care or with evidence of specialised transferable skills. It is important that candidates have experience of multi-disciplinary working in a health care setting as well as the ability to work as an independent practitioner.

Although Woodlands is an independent charity, we have strong links with the local NHS and encourage positive working relationships across our catchment area. Key elements of our terms and conditions mirror the NHS (e.g. salary bands, maternity leave arrangements, professional supervision from a reputable NHS source) and membership of the NHS Pension Scheme is transferrable in its entirety. Annual leave entitlement could be negotiable.

We would be delighted to hear from any individual who is keen to work in a high quality, dynamic organisation preparing for the next stage in its development.

Please see attachments for Job Description, Persons Specification and Application Form.
