Our client provides a range of social care, special education and community support services across the North West of England. They are now recruiting Specialist Community Support Workers for a new and innovative service based in Bolton. This exciting opportunity to expand and further develop specialist supported living services to adult service users, who have complex health needs, learning difficulties or an autism spectrum condition, to lead a fulfilled and more independent life, have improved opportunities to live full and active lives in their communities. This involves supporting service users in their own home with everyday life skills, attending appointments and assisting access to the local community.
If you have drive, ambition and a skill set to influence positive change for individuals with ASC and complex support needs then this is the role for you. Working as part of a team and being supported by staff members who have enabled other adults to achieve positive outcomes, you will have excellent communications skills and have a flexible approach as no two days will be the same. Previous experience in a supportive care role with a qualification in QCF Health & Social Care NVQ Level 2 or 3 is desirable or willingness to work towards this within timescales set by the Trust. A comprehensive training programme is provided to all staff to comply with the National Occupational Standards for the post. Ability to work individually and flexibly using your own initiative and as part of a team, maintaining and encouraging, open and honest communication is essential. Successful candidates are required to have a clean driving licence held for twelve months.
