Main Duties

  • Perform systems engineering, development and verification and validation of railway signaling systems
  • Execute Safety Management activities, including RAM and Hazard Analysis


You will need to be very client focused and feel comfortable in understanding and acting on customer needs.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Educated to Degree/Msc in Electrotechnical Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge in systems engineering processes (Requirements Analysis, V&V, RAMS)
  • Experience with Railway signalling standards EN50126/8/9
  • At least three years with relevant experience in Railway Signalling or Rolling Stock projects
  • Good documentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proactive communicator, comfortable dealing with clients face-to-face. Ability to explain design decisions in a non-technical manner with clarity and detail.
  • A caring, dedicated and "can do" attitude

Desirable:

  • Teamwork and technical project management experience
  • German speaker

The company does carry out work in the area of critical national infrastructure and so ideal candidates would either have a national security clearance or be eligible to be security cleared.

An excellent remuneration package of up to £45,000 is offered, which will be flexibly negotiated depending on skills and experience.
