We currently have a vacancy for a Shared Services Manager in the Business Support Directorate. This role is based in our Head Office at Bradford. What is the purpose of the role? As a Shared Services Manager, you will be responsible for driving the self-service culture within the Kelda group through the management of key business projects which will enhance current business processes and systems performance to achieve group wide efficiencies.
Salary up to £65,000 + pension, annual performance related bonus, 28 days leave plus bank holidays, company car allowance, located in Bradford.
What will the role involve?
The role will be to lead a multi discipline department of 70+ people who support key business areas such as finance, procurement, facilities and HR. It will involve embedding a customer service ethos across the team which can be monitored through KPIs, and where appropriate, ensuring a standardised service offering to the Kelda Group which meets stakeholder requirements.
As the Shared Service model is relatively new to the business, the role will need to influence group wide cultural change at all levels. The role will work with business leads to develop and implement plans, ensuring cost effective and efficient solutions to deliver the service. The role will also anticipate the future needs of the business from a Shared Services perspective and utilise new technology to meet those needs.
A key aspect of the role will be to continue to develop and implement the current shared services vision and strategy, whilst ensuring business outputs are maintained. You will ensure through application of industry best practice, using regular market tests and evaluations, and establishing new company wide policies that comply with the provisions of all legislation and governance requirements, including financial delegations.
What skills are we looking for?
• Previous experience of managing and leading a business facing shared services team with a proven track record of driving sustainable performance against challenging business targets
• Previous experience of leading a group wide customer/support service department
• Previous experience in developing business wide strategies which will incorporate short and long term business planning, resource and financial management of budgets
• Previous experience of creating and driving a self-service culture
• Experience of leading and embedding change with the ability to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours
• Ability to prioritise competing business priorities within a dynamic, changing environment whilst ensuring sound decisions are made
• Previous experience of business wide stakeholder management at all levels of the organisation
• Previous experience in utilising technology to ensure effective business processes are put in place
• A full valid EU driving licence is required.
