Our Local Government client based in Hampshire is recruiting an Senior Administration Assistant: To support the delivery of workforce development activities for a busy Social Services Department by coordinating and delivering admin support.
Duties will include: - providing efficient training event administration both to the department and to delegates (internal and external), ensure all training event administration is progressed to defined standards and timescales, maintain training data on course administration system (CAS), managing event nominations; confirm bookings; send out joining instructions; collate and summarise evaluation returns.
Education – Essential
GCSE – At least four (or equivalent) – Essential - English and Maths (Literacy and Numeracy)
Relevant previous administrative experience with demonstrable aptitude for a higher level.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience – Essentials
- Ability to support the day-to-day technical, financial, clerical and administration functions
- Ability to keep records and maintain filing system
- Ability to handle confidential and highly sensitive information
- Experience of minute taking confidential and sensitive meetings
- Must have good knowledge of faxing, photocopying, scanning and indexing, PDF and other office systems
- Knowledge and experience of delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to work on own initiative and problem solve with limited supervision
- Good oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate at all levels in a confident and diplomatic manner
- In depth knowledge and experience of Microsoft Software packages: Word, Excel and Outlook
- experience of data entry
- demonstrate accuracy skills and attention to details - Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- experience of event management/course administration
- experience of providing and co-ordinating project/admin support
- knowledge of Course Administration System (CAS) or other Training Management Tool - Strong communication skills on the phone and face to face and in writing
- Registered Enhanced / Standard DBS Disclosure within the last 12 months
