Many of the people we support will be living with a dementia and may also have physical or mental disabilities. Although you will be supporting people to retain or regain as much independence as possible, in practice you will need to be competent in administering medication, able to provide day to day support with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, assist with serving meals, domestic duties, have an active part in social activities and participate in ongoing assessments of the company's customers, all in accordance with their specified care plans, in line with the company's standards and values, whilst always upholding the core behaviors required by all of the company's staff.

The Candidate:

  • You will have a good empathy with people and be customer focused.
  • As well as being a truly caring person, you will need to maintain confidentiality at all times, be friendly, enthusiastic acting always in a professional manner.
  • Have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbally to a range of people on a range of levels and have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as being a team player.

Contractual hours available vary from 15, 22.5, 30 or 37.5 hours per week. The role will require you to be flexible as it will involve varied times of visits to customers ranging from 7am to 11pm, which may include a combination of mornings, afternoon, evenings and nights and will include alternate weekends. You will be required to have a full driving license and have regular access to a car.
