This leading manufacturer of metal recycling equipment including shears, balers, cable strippers, shredders, granulators and can processing equipment, is looking for a multi-skilled commissioning and service engineer. Salary is £28,000 per annum rising to £29,000 per annum after completion of a successful three month trial. The applicant they select will be an engineer with good hydraulic and general electrical experience. They will be able to communicate with customers at all levels, be happy to work independently and will have the ability to fault find. They supply their equipment worldwide so there is a lot of opportunity for foreign travel.
This week they have engineers working in Canada, Italy and Poland and fighting for the next job in Honolulu. Hours can be long when commissioning abroad or attending a customer breakdown. When not with customers, their commissioning engineers work on site in Nottingham so they are looking for someone local. A clean driving licence is essential.
