Job Role:

The company is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to manage their internal marketing function. The role will include managing all aspects of internal and external marketing of the business, including managing the marketing plan and budget, new and existing client liaison, event management, managing the website, managing email marketing, copyright and additional in-house marketing responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement and manage the marketing plan and budget.
  • Identify industry events, seminars, award ceremonies for sponsorship and speaking opportunities to promote Abacus solutions
  • Run client events/seminars from start to finish, including creating marketing collateral, send marketing emails, sourcing and coordinating speakers, main organizing contact on the day, sending collateral post event
  • Promote product suite across multiple channels, offline and online, such as mailers, adverts, emails, social media and blogs.

  • end regular press releases to relevant trade publications to gain press coverage (offline and online) for the brand, our solutions or events. Develop and maintain relationships with press contacts to ensure quality coverage.
  • Send regular email communications to raise awareness of the brand, solutions, events and knowledge pieces, plus industry topics.
  • Co-ordinate entertainment events for clients
  • Ensure the website is updated with relevant events, corporate and product information and news as required.
  • Ensure LinkedIn and Twitter are updated regularly with company news and thought leadership pieces. Gain engagement from a variety of staff members across the business.
  • Re-purpose suitable US whitepapers to fit the UK market or create new ones using relevant content
    Create collateral to use at events and meetings for core solutions as required.
    Work with the account management team to create case studies and testimonials

  • Source high quality suppliers and set them up on the vendor system. Ensure pricing is benchmarked against multiple suppliers to achieve competitive rates.
    Track actual expenditure for each marketing activity and adapt the budget accordingly.

Requirements:

  • The position requires 3-5+ years' experience in a high-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, good copying writing skills
  • A demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively at all levels of an organization, including senior management.
  • Strong knowledge of the traditional direct marketing industry - including its challenges and shortcomings
  • A degree in communications, English or journalism is preferred.
  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively on a variety of projects concurrently - in a demanding environment under tight deadlines - with an eye toward detail and exceptional results.
