Mechanic / Vehicle Technician

We are currently recruiting for a fully Qualified Mechanic / Vehicle Technician in our expanding Newburn workshop.

It is essential that the candidate is fully trained and qualified as a Vehicle Technician (Mechanic) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair to NVQ level 3 or equivalent and holds a full valid driving licence. You must be able to work within agreed time scales given to you by your manager and also perform tasks in a competent and efficient manner and demonstrate good customer service skills. You must be able to work as part of a team and also work on your own initiative

Being an MOT Tester would be an advantage but is not essential, however you must be skilled and experience to the level that you can work unsupervised in carrying out servicing, repairs and diagnostic work to vehicles whilst maintaining the highest of quality control standards.

Summary of what we are looking for:

• NVQ level 3 with min of 5 year experience
• Team player
• Ability to work under own initiative
• Good customer service skills
• Full driving licence

Salary up to £15 per hour depending on skills and experience. Working hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday with overtime on Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
