They are now looking for a candidate with skills and experience in the broad areas of Production Design, Moving Image and Visual Effects to join them and teach on the BA (Hons.) Filmmaking & Creative Media Film Production course. The position is Temporary until the end of June 2016 and is part time, 14 hours per week

Within the role, you will work primarily with students engaged across a range of courses providing a high level of support needed to achieve their programme of study.  You will deliver high quality teaching and learning, ensuring stretch, challenge and engagement of students of all ages and abilities. Contributing to the development, planning and implementation of a high level curriculum, the role involves developing learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress.

The successful candidate will hold a Degree or equivalent in the relevant subject coupled with a Certificate of Education or PGCE (or willingness to work towards). The candidate will have experience of working in the art department in the film and television industry, and have knowledge of set design, as well as digital processes, such as VFX and pre-visualisation. Able to communicate an in depth knowledge of the art and craft of filmmaking, film aesthetics and production, you will take responsibility for effective learning of all students including setting, supervising and assessing work in an academic context.

Being innovative in your teaching methods is important, as is having a high level of flexibility, enthusiasm and most importantly, a commitment to the student journey. Having the ability to inspire learners is key, as well as being able to work as part of a well-established team of professionals.
