Head Chef

We are looking for a Head Chef to join our team to work at The Clevedon Restaurant, Ilkley.

As Head Chef you will manage the day to day food administration and be responsible for ordering equipment, setting up suppliers, recruiting and training team members and designing exciting, innovative menus for our 54 seat restaurant, bar and terrace. We encourage locally sourced seasonal dishes that are freshly prepared and served and as Head Chef you would oversee creation of our menus.

Candidates must be confident in communicating effectively with colleagues across all levels in the business and enjoy working in a busy, hands on environment. 

Daily tasks will include:

• Ordering food stock to appropriate levels
• Meeting financial targets
• Inspiring and motivating team members
• Ensuring all dishes are delivered to 5 star standard
• Presenting food for service in a timely manner and in correct sequence
• Complying and implementing all H&S and Food Hygiene requirements
• Training and development of team

You will have a track record of taking ownership and improving performance and will manage people with respect and fairness.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar environment, be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work proactively as part of a team. This is a hands on role for someone who wants and expects to be actively involved in all aspects of service
